Etude House Golden Ration Contour Maker #2 Pink

Have you ever wonder why do the celebrities look so great in the magazines and commercial and whatever? The secret key is: shading and highlighting. Believe it or not, a make up without shading and highlighting will not look that great in photo shooting and real life as well. So you can say it should be included in every cosmetic bag for full make up. Now let's see what is so special about this contour maker by Etude House. It comes  in 3 different powders to enhance different radiance: cheeks (pink, shimmery light pink blusher), contour shading (brown, shimmery almost unnoticeable shading powder) and contour highlighting (translucent, shimmery radiant highlighting powder). Unfortunately, you will soon realize that the brown powder is not really useful. Firstly, it is really 'unnoticeable' like you got nothing on even if you applied on a lot. Next, it is too light to be used as eyeshadow. Yes, you can use it as eyeshadow for daily look but you will look like you applied nothing on your eyes except your skin is pale (like me) then you may see a little bit difference. And it is the lesser shimmery powder among the three powders.
The packaging.
All right, now I gonna say about the other powders in the case. The pink powder is suitable for daily use as very light pink blusher. You can apply it over your usual blushers to add on more radiance to your look (yet looking natural). The translucent powder can actually be used as a shimmery setting powder if you just use it a little bit over your whole face. You may add some of it on the areas you wanna add on radiance (such as t-zone and under eyes). It is not advisable for oily skin to apply too much of the translucent powder because it will make your skin look more oily when your skin produces facial oil. The packaging is quite attractive. It actually comes with a small cheek brush. You can simply put this contour maker in your bag and retouch your skin anytime with the brush which comes with it. The powders last for the whole day, even for me (I have combination skin). My mum bought this about RM35 at Etude House, 1 Utama. The thing I really like about Etude House is they have many attractive, affordable and good quality cosmetics. They often have promotions so check the stuffs out next time when you pass by one ^,^. *Tips: you can even apply it on the body to enhance the appearance.

Full make up.

Sometimes All You Need Is Some Changes...

Now I wanna show you guys some of my pictures about personal make up and hair do. You may roll down a little bit and see the first picture.
Yes, this is after full make up and hair do. The client has requested me to do dolly like look on her and conceal her flaws on her face. I did not trim the eyebrows and apply eyebrow colour on her eyebrows because she did not feel like wanna do it. The hair is slightly messy to represent her passionate personality. I kept everything minimal, you can see I was actually using L'Oreal foundation on her face. Sometimes, things you're using don't really have to be expensive to be good. I applied on a thin layer of BB cream by Charmzone, then follow with a thin layer of L'Oreal foundation in #R2 (more on her flaws). The combination compliments her skin well. After dusting some Make Up For Ever Super Matte Loose Powder, I apply on shading and highlighting powder to enhance the radiance. I did not apply any eyeshadow on the eyes, all I did was apply on thin layers of black gel eyeliner on the upper eyelash lines and white eyeliner on the water lines. Next, I put on a few coats of black mascara and 2 pairs of natural false eyelashes on each eyes. I chose the dolly pink blusher to enhance the cheeks. I apply on thin layers of pink lip colour and lip gloss after I concealed the original lip colours.

The following pictures are about another make up and hair do on another client. I did a lighter version of smokey eyes on her, the lips and cheeks are paired with nude shades. After applying BB cream and foundation, I started to put on white eyeshadow over the upper eyelids and blend the shadow above the upper eyelids. I also put on the shadow below the bottom eyelash lines. Then, I put on black gel eyeliner on the upper and bottom eyelash lines. I blur it so it won't look too heavy. A pair of glossy false eyelashes are applied close to the upper eyelashes after applying mascara. I add on some drama on the eyebrows by applying a light amount of the gel eyeliner and blend it well in the brows. Next, I applied on shading and highlighting powders, so do nude colour cheeks and lips colours. I made the hair look wet and slightly messy by running a fair amount of  hair wet look styling gel with my fingertips.

Beauty For The Bridal

Hi, this time I gonna show everyone how I have did the beauty things on a bride. These pictures may not be as perfect as those shown on the magazines but I thought this is good enough for me. I did this after I done the bridal course. I guess I need a lot more experience to make things perfect >.<. I wouldn't speak much this time, just look at pictures and drop comments if you wanted.

Dior Lip Addict...

Hello people, its the Christian Dior Lip Addict range this time. Although I never have either one of these lipsticks or lipglosses but I did use them myself and on the models for a fashion show. As you can figure, the packaging is somehow look glamour and beautiful. They are also quite moisturizing at the same time. Anyway, I prefer products which don't just look good but also do good. The lipstick packaging is quite outstanding (one of the best I ever seen), so do the shades and the radiance and long lasting effects it gives. These products stay on the lips like nothing's on, so comfortable, so smooth, so photo ready. The lipgloss is just something much than normal to me but I am sure anyone can find several must buy shades at the counters. That means the products are good for all skin types and races. The range is launched for quite a long time and I knew it is quite famous (especially to the beauty addicted people). They are available in Malaysia, just go ahead to the CD counters to check it out. The prices are about RM100 or more (just like the other high end branded lip products).

Speaking to Him

I am Alexis. I am a singular, a present thing, perhaps a male human, guy outside and a little bit of girly inside. My spirit has been divorced and separated into a few parts. Two major parts shall be The Priestess and The Demon while the others are The Peasant and The Cat.

The Priestess is made of the God's words. She reminds me of what is good and right, what should not be done. She helps me to remember to forgive and be forgiven. She clarifies me when it is needed. She shows her hands to me to lend me the energy for the further days. She tells me I should not do wrong and avoid bad.

The Demon is the Succubi lady, also represents the Darkness of me. She was the first separated spirit of me I met when I was suffering in the days of youth. She tells me never give up but she also makes me want more than just anger- death. She lets me do what I could not do or dare not to do. She builds me confidence and passion.

The Peasant, perhaps the simplest and less noticed part of my spirit. He although is not as powerful as the others but he is what I am. He tells me to do before its too late. He says "Just be yourself, its nothing wrong to do so.". He makes my mind clear when I am troubled by the pressure and the people and the surrounding. May be a smaller character but doesn't show his strength lightly.

The Cat, its in black was lastly created. It is like the naughty and naive side of me. Wants me feel hunger of power, wealth and sex. Makes me wonder if I were no human, haha. It tells me to flirt and stay like no one else.

Make Up For Ever Liquid Lift Foundation in #3

Now its time for me to reveal the foundation I used on my mum in the Make Up For 'Elder Skin'. It is the Liquid Lift Foundation in #3 by Make Up For Ever, a famous professional France cosmetic brand. You may look in the following pictures. It is quite similar to the other professional or semi professional brands such as Bobbi Brown and Mac. The design is simple and mostly in black and white, nothing special about the packaging. The lifting foundation comes with a pump, one pump is enough for whole face, more for better coverage. Of course, MUFE does have some limited edition beautifully designed and made products, just have to watch out for these stuffs. You can find the counter in KLCC, MidValley, Sephore KLCC (if I am not mistaken). I am not sure where else have this brand counter. The 1 Utama counter has been closed.
The packaging and the foundation.
My mum got this foundation under my advise. It is priced at RM130, comes in many shades, 30ml. The shade my mum is using is slightly darker and more orangey than her skin. But this problem can be solved by setting it with good base and concealor and 2 way foundation so that the liquid foundation is used lesser and appears more natural and glamour. If you were wondering about the ingredients, the picture below will help you very much ^^.
The ingredients.
Shake well before use everytime.
Just like what is told in the back of the foundation (see the picture above), always shake well before you use it so that the effects would be much better than just applying it directly. Remember, always change your cream and gel and liquid or whatever cosmetic after 6-12 months. Powder type can be stored for 3-5 years after exposed to the air. This foundation is safe for sensitive skin and doesn't contain funny or strange smell. And it is made in France! Glad, huh?
This is how its like on my hand (its much darker than me because this foundation belongs to my mum).
See it on my handback, it is quite watery and it does the same on the skin, creating the desired flawless dewy and glamour look for ageing skin. Foundation is applied easily and absorbed by the skin quickly. However, this suits skin with lesser oil and I don't think oily skins will find this friendly since it contains moisturizing agents to keep the make up fresh and lifted all day. You can sweep or pat on more powder after the foundation if you were worrying it is too dewy to you. Lesser powder is needed for this foundation since it is quite long lasting even if was used alone. And it looks great in photo shooting. However, this foundation doesn't cover spots and wrinkles completely so you may wanna wear a light weight, natural concealor before applying this foundation. Overall, this is much better than any more or less pricey lifting foundations (also beats Bobbi Brown which is priced at RM160).

The Balm Bahama Mama Shading Powder

To every beauty addicted people, you may have considered having something to sharpen your face and look better in photo shooting and face to face. The Balm Bahama Mama Shading Powder is here to help you in your everyday make up routine. There are things I would like to say about this product. Let's speak about the benefits and why I like it. Firstly, it is affordable. It only cost you RM65 at any The Balm counters, Sasa. It comes with a mirror for you to look after your make up. The design is erotic and somehow it reminds me of Benefits. It is also suitable for everyone. See the pictures below for the packaging. Sorry that I didn't keep it well and it really looks dirty. It contains lesser ingredients. It also contains quite a huge amount of powder. You can even share it with your friends. The Balm is an American brand if I am not mistaken. They also have great foundation and cream concealor which work great.

I gave this to my mother and I usually use the big blush brush and big eyeshadow brush to do the shading.
This look is done with the powder, it really looks pretty, right? A tip here, you can use it as eyeshadow for minimal make up. It is waterproof even on oily face and eyelids. This means that it is long lasting. There are also things that you should worry about it. It should not be applied too much at once or else it may end up looking weird like if there was something on your face. Blend it quickly. The case inside can be messy after several times of using and the mirror is quite fragile. Don't drop it or else yours will end up looking like mine in the pictures above.

Biore UV Daily Care Gel SPF28 PA++

Hello people, this time I gonna share one of my best skin care product with you guys. It's the Biore UV Daily Care Gel SPF28 PA++! I am sure most of my friends know that I am obsessed with sunblocks like I can't even live without it (and that's true). See the sunblock on the following pictures.

It comes in 120ml, about RM28 per bottle. One could lasts me half a month.
Well, speaking too much wouldn't help in any way. So, let's see how it works like in the following picture. As you can see, it is gel type sunblock and it is absorbed so quickly like it just happens in less than 10 seconds. It's a little bit of cooling and kinda comfortable for me. I usually end up buying at twice 2 bottles of this every month unless I spent most of my time in the house. By the way, I only apply Nivea Extra Whitening Body Milk for minimal protection and I tried to stay out of the sunlight even in the house. I also bought Biore UV Perfect Face Milk (waterproof) with SPF50+ PA+++ for my face and neck protection. However, I always apply this on the exposed areas such as below the neck, hands after the body milk.
It is available at pharmacies and stores. This may be a little too low protection for some people but I don't think its an easy job to find a high protection (like SPF50), non oily and comfortable sunblock for your body. At least this makes reapplying less affords.

Make Up For 'Elder Skin'

Hello, everyone. I guess you're known what this post is all about. Yeah right, Alexis is gonna show and teach you easy tips and steps to do beautiful elegant make up for the elder ladies. First, get your skin cleansed and moisturized and protected just like the picture above. That model is my mum. She is about 57 this year.
Then, prepare a good quality brightening long lasting make up base such as this L'Oreal Paris White Perfect Transparent Rosy Whitening BB Cream SPF20++. You may read more about that cream when you click on the link ^,^. Apply a fair amount of the cream on your hand back and blend it well. Apply it on your whole face by drawing a little bit and doing the rest with well blending. It should be done in only 1 minute. After 1 minute, dewy look is achieved but this is just the first step >,^.
Then, get your spot concealor on your hand quickly! Make sure it is able to conceal spots, long lasting and matches your skin tone. My mum uses this Rejuarna Cover Spots Foundation in a slightly more yellowish darker tone. I apply it on the spots and blend the cream quickly before it gets cakey. The skin still looks natural after all these.
Now, we will have lifting foundation applied well on the skin. My mum got this Make Up For Ever Liquid Lift Foundation in #3 which shows more orangey and darker on her skin if more was used. However, I pump it once on my hand (shown in the right side of the picture above). Now, I will apply on the foundation by drawing on a little bit and blending the rest well. Look more carefully to the hair lines and jaw lines. You wouldn't want to look weird, right? Whatever remember, always get a high quality foundation like this one even though it costed my mum RM130 and showed to be darker and less suitable for her if more was applied. That's why I applied on the concealor first to save the foundation using. Less foundation used also means more natural look. She was lighter when she purchased the foundation.
So, the foundation is done perfectly and is used to cover the spots and eyebags and wrinkles. Doesn't she look younger right now? Her skin is so dewy ^^. You may realize that her lips are washed out but that's just casual. I did the lips well concealed by the foundation so that the lip colours will be applied and showed much more better.

On the further steps, the Za True White 2 Way Foundation in #20 is used to set the make up well and add on some concealor at the same time. This makes her look less dewy and more to radiant. Her make up matches her skin perfectly.
After the foundation, we are now to the shading powder, highlighter and blushers (below, in the left side). I used Arezia #983 Blush Brush and a Menard big eyeshadow brush for the powders. I got a fair amount of The Balm Bahama Mama Shading Powder (above, in the left) with the Arezia brush and sweep lightly on the sides of her cheek and then I got the hairlines and jaw lines done with the same way and with a fair amount. Not using too much of this at once or else you may end looking baked. Ok, then I sweep the nose bridge sides with the Menard brush. Next, I sweep some of the highlighting powder (above, in the right side) on the t-zone, above and below the lips and around the eyes and brows. And then, I add on some dramas to the make up by blending a fair amount of the Cyber Colors deep pink and Majolica Majorca light peach blushes (I mixed them together) shown on the picture below (in the left side).
See? The picture on the right side on the picture above shown the effects of the shading and highlighting and blushing the face.
All right, we gonna make the spiritless eyes spark instantly with the help of the IN2IT Waterproof Eyeshadow Palette. I simply get a fair amount of the shadows all in once with another Menard medium size shadow brush and apply on the both upper eyelids and slightly more above it. Then, I got the deepest shadow from the palette and apply on the half of the shadowed areas (starts from the eyelash lines). After that, I highlighted the eyes with the lightest shade of the shadows from the end to the middle of the eyebrows. I draw and blend well the Cyber Colors Auto Eyebrow Pencil in Dark Brown on the eyebrows and used it as an eyeliner on the upper and bottom eyelash lines, heehee ^^.
Ya I know, the lips still looking sick....
Finally, I am applying the lip liner, Pink Princess (RM32) from Max Factor. It goes on the lips smoothly. It is so creamy and the colour is so pretty. Then, I applied the Rimmel London Show Off Lipstick in 10 which is actually pinkish brown (suitable for all races) and apply on a coat of Za lipgloss in strawberry soda. See the effects in the following pictures. Its easy and stylish. Enjoy your day ^v^ and thanks for reading this post.
This is captured with lipgloss ^^.
With no lipgloss. I actually add on some powders on the neck, hands, legs and above the chest for more dramas.

This is also with lipgloss.

You may skip the lipgloss for less drama like this picture shown.
This is the best picture! ^+^. She looks so flawless in the picture and it feels like she is just about 40 years old.

The only and special Birthday!

Hello, guys its time for you to see what was happening in the Temasya Rimba Temple, Rawang last November. See that picture above? That's me, my cousin and my other cousin's only daughter. They were making a great visit to me that time. What about my face? Well, I really look bad during that time. I am lucky I did get along some of my cosmetics to the camp. I did apply Za Skin Beauty 2 Way Foundation in #21, Make Up For Ever Professional Camouflage Concealor Palette, Etude House highlighting powder, Rimmel single mousse shadow in reddish brown, Silkygirl lipgloss, Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Eyeliner in Black, Maybelline Cat Eyes mascara and Etude House cheek highlighting blusher. Don't wonder why I were wearing make up in that camp. It's pretty normal there, you know it was happening in Selangor. The place wasn't having heavy rules. Some gals just simply never appear without make up no matter its the early mornings or other times. Hmmm... this is somehow weird.

We were having our feast... KFC, soft drinks and bla bla bla (I just can't recall these foods). In the upper picture beside, featuring me, my good friend Lai, my fair friend Boon Seng, my Malay flirty friend Kitty and my Indian friend Joe. We were all dressed in the given clothes and uniforms by the NS.

So that was my birthday cake. Actually, I don't really celebrate my birthday and any other festival days. The cake wasn't that bad. It was bought at Secret Recipe if I am not mistaken.
Guess what now? I am going to cut that cake and my friends are singing the 'Happy Birthday' song.

Taking photo with my friends.

Now with my family.

A final photo with my guys ^^. Anyway, its a wonderful experience.

Caria Rina Professional Hair Tonic

Genee and me. We were dressed in Indian and Malay cultural clothes.
Left: Mee (she visited me in the camp quite often), me and my good friend Lai, fair guy Boon Sheng, Malay flirty friend Kitty.
As you see on the pictures above, I got bold at that time in the NS camp (it was happening in one of the Rawang camp). I was actually celebrating my 19th birthday there. My birthday is on the first of December but my sister told me to make it earlier because she will not be able to make it on other days (before I got done of the NS thing). I wasn't really sad about my bold-bold head. Sometimes, you just gonna get and learn what you are forced to, right? So, I decided to make the hair growth process smoother, happier and faster with the help of the hair products after the NS.

My mum bought me this, Caria Rina Professional Hair Tonic Hair Falls Control, it comes in 150ml. It is available at hair products selling shops and hair salons. I guess the price is about RM40. I am glad my mum did buy what I told her to buy. This affordable actually does the job of fastening hair growth and building more volumes of my hair (I don't have much hair). I learned that I have to apply it twice daily to get the desired result. My hair got more and longer every morning when I look at mirror (thanks God -v-).

You can see that it actually claims to help building volume of hair, reduce hair falling and fastens hair growth. I don't really care much about the ingredients and so. You may enlarge the picture above to see it more clearly. By the way, this reminds me of Carlo Rina, isn't it almost the same name?
You see... its actually almost colourless, just slightly greenish when I spray it on my balm. Its watery and smells like chemical. However, I did not expect it to be floral great smell and the smell just goes off quickly so its not bothering me anyway.
I usually spray 2 and a half times on my balm and massage it into my hair gently for 1 minute to let it be absorbed. Its safe for me to apply it twice a day. My hair doesn't get oily or get 'down' by it. I guess I will see a better figure soon, perhaps after 1 more month of using it twice daily. You may see what I got few months ago before I got myself bold on the following picture ^,^.
I got a perfect bridal elegant make up done by my colleague and friend. I was her make up practicing model that time.
